Once the IDE starts from the command line everything seems to work just fine. But seems the 2.0 GA version has the same problem.
I start to experience the issue in rc-9, thought it is due to beta. Due to hang state I could not get any logs. However when I start the IDE in command line mode through terminal, the IDE starts just fine. No splash screen, only the icon jumping in the dock eventually stuck with "Application not responding". When start the IDE in UI mode through spotlight or application folder, the IDE hangs. What may I be doing wrong? Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.I have installed the Arduino IDE 2.0 on MacOS Monterey (12.6). I want to start playing with my new cool toy. I'm getting nervous, desperate and hungry. My Arduino came with a blinker program already loaded, so it keeps blinking when I connect it, but I have never seen the TX or RX LEDs to show any signs of life. Most info online says I don't have to do this.
I don't know if I should configure the "modem" in any way.

I found that Mac locates the Arduino within networks. After the first time it just freezes and most times I can't even close the software and I've been rebooting. When I try to upload anything (hitting the upload button) I see an error message saying the following:īinary sketch size: 970 bytes (of a 32256 byte maximum)Īvrdude: stk500_recv(): programmer is not responding There are many ports but only one is USB, it's obvious and I am only unsure about the two "versions" shown, tty and cu. I selected the proper arduino in tools and I selected the TTY port.

I understand I need no drivers for the UNO, but even so, I ran the driver file that comes with the Arduino software. I tried to upload one of the examples first, just to test and make sure I could upload, and that's when problems began.
